East
Nipissing- Saturday, October 25, 2025-Last year the U13A Ultimate Sales Sting
could never crack the nut that was the East Nipissing Vipers.
This year, the Sting looked to get started
on a strong note against their Nipissing rivals. Hunter Seguin (Lafond, Fox)
started things strong for the Sting as he connected on a power play goal to
give the Sting an early lead. For the rest of the period the Sting stuck to the
game plan, pushed the pace of play, skated hard, and passed the puck.
Unfortunately, they would have nothing to show for it. As the period
progressed, the Vipers became visibly upset and started to play rougher with
the Sting. As the period continued on, the Sting started to back away from
potential danger moments. The only penalty of the game was given to Landon
Demedeiros for body checking.
The
second period saw the Vipers take control of the pace of the game. It started
with Landon Demedeiros scoring his second goal of the season, and then shortly
afterwards Brock Minogue (Pelling) would make it 2-1. As the period wound down,
Noah Serré (Bazinet) would snipe his second of the season to briefly tie the
game at two.
The
third period would once again see the Sting come out flat footed and cough up
the lead early. Landon Demedeiros would score his second of the game, and Erick
Rothwell (Clouthier) would get he game winner to make it 4-2. Simon Bazinet
would bring the Sting within one, but the Ultimate Sales Sting would end up
dropping their first of the year 4-3 to the Vipers.
