Sting Keep Their Dreams Alive with Win Over Wolves
Author: Nathan Pascoe

West Nipissing- Saturday, March 29, 2025- It was do or die for the U13A Ultimate Sales Sting this Saturday as they took on the Sudbury Wolves in NOHA playoff action.

The Sting were back on their heels after a tough loss Tuesday night, but the team stepped up, and behind the great work of goalie, Lawson Restoule, they skated away with the win. The message was clear yet again, no stupid penalties, and this time the team listened. It started with Bruno Lafond who took an amazing feed from Bentley Carmichael to get the Sting on the board. The period would end 1-0 Sting with no penalties.

The first few minutes of the second period looked like it would be a carbon copy of the first. Bentley Carmichael got his first of the game from Kazz Renaud-Paquette to give the Sting a 2-0 lead, and then, the Wolves would strike shorthanded: Henry Stockhaus (Bellmore) would score as his team served a too many men on the ice penalty. From there it would be all Wolves, and ever time the Wolves would push for the net, “The Wall” Laswon Restoule, would stand tall. The Sting would take the next two penalties as Justin Richard would sit for tripping, and Kwinton Rochefort would also go out for cross-checking. At the end of the period the Sting would skate away with a 2-1 advantage.

The third would tip back the other way as Kazz Renaud-Paquette would score his third of the period, cutting to the boards after taking a feed from Simon Bazinet. Three minutes later Bentley Carmichael (Gagné and Renaud-Paquette) would add his second of the period making it 4-1 Sting. The Wolves would score their second shorthanded goal of the game as the period wound down (Henry Stockhaus from Brody Bellmore), but it would be the Sting that would skate away alive, and ready to roll into the next game.

There was no official player of the game name, as the coaches named all players player of the game for their bounce back performance, and hard work. Next up for the Sting in the final game of the round robin as they face off against the U13 Vipers tonight in Sturgeon Falls. Game action starts live at 6:30 pm, and a broadcast will be available on Facebook.
